Even though the Tampa Bay Lightning have been struggling lately, their games have at least been exciting due to their recent third-period comebacks. Their apparent strategy of falling behind by two or three goals every night and then mounting a furious third-period rally isn't really sustainable, but it has sure resulted in some fun games.

They were at it again on Saturday afternoon and snapped their six-game losing streak with a 6-5 overtime win against the Florida Panthers.

It looked bleak for the Lightning in the third period, when they trailed by two goals. But a rocket off the stick of Steve Stamkos cut the deficit to one, and then Ted Purcell completed the comeback with 10 seconds left in the period to send the game into overtime.

It was there that Benoit Pouliot scored his second goal of the game, and it came when three of the Panthers were caught below the goal line. That left Pouliot alone in front for the easy tap-in.

Seriously, just look at this.

That's not going to work.

But how about these recent comebacks by Tampa Bay?

On Tuesday, they trailed Montreal by three goals with six minutes to play and scored three consecutive to force overtime and at least gain a point in a shootout loss.

On Thursday, they trailed Washington by three goals with eight minutes to play and scored two quick goals to put the Capitals on their heels in the closing minutes.

Then, on Saturday, they trailed by two with less than 10 minutes to play and were this time able to complete the comeback and snap their ugly six-game losing streak.
