The Detroit Red Wings lost to the Nashville Predators in overtime on Tuesday night, 4-3, thanks to a Shea Weber goal less than a minute into the extra period. But the highlight of the night belonged to Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk, who had this entry into the goal-of- the-year discussion as he went coast-to-coast, beating literally every Predator on the ice.

For Datsyuk it was one of those games where every single time he was on the ice you had to keep your eye on him because there was a chance he was going to do something brilliant (actually, just about every game is one of those games for Datsyuk).

This goal completed a wild stretch in the third period where the two teams exchanged fluke goals that bounced in off opposing defenders and tied the game at three, sending it to overtime.

Really, this play is just beautiful.

He just calmly picks up the puck and effortlessly skates through everybody on the ice during a coast-to-coast rush.

When you freeze the video it looks even more absurd. He turned this situation into a goal.

Datsyuk also had an assist on a Dan Cleary shorthanded goal to open the scoring for Detroit in the first period.

Just another day at the office for one of the game's best and most exciting players.
