PHOTO: This is what can happen when you block a shot

By Adam Gretz | Hockey writer

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Ryan O'Byrne was credited with two blocked shots during their 3-2 loss in San Jose on Tuesday night.

One of those shots turned his knee into a giant ball of pain.

And then he Tweeted it.

So you want to play in the NHL? This is what can happen. The Avalanche haven't announced any sort of injury for O'Byrne, other than what appears to be a lot of swelling.

Don't worry, folks. Doctors can help with the knee pain and rebuild it if necessary.
