Every game at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Jets fans pick out a player on the opposing team and do whatever they can to get him off his game. Chants, booing him every time he touches the puck. Anything. It's pretty funny to listen to sometimes.
On Thursday night during the Jets' 3-1 win over the New York Rangers, they did something a little different. They targeted the other team's coach. In this case, John Tortorella.
And Tortorella was asked about it, as Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News tweeted after the game.
Reporter asks Torts if he heard the "Tortorella" chant. "The what?" Torts says. #NYR spokesperson says "next question." Presser ends— Pat Leonard (@NYDNRangers) March 15, 2013
Ah, yes. It's always a good time with Tortorella. And it's always good times in Winnipeg.
