It must be the jerseys.

The Vancouver Canucks were paying homage to the Vancouver Millionaires, the city's first professional sports team and winner of the Stanley Cup back in 1917, on Saturday night. They brought out the old sweaters and looked fantastic.

They looked even better when they marched right down off the opening faceoff and scored only six seconds into the game. Alex Burrows took the feed on a 2-on-1 and fired a rocket that clipped the post and flew in past Jimmy Howard.

Burrows' goal was the fastest to start a game in Canucks franchise history. At six seconds it was three seconds better than the previous mark, set back in 1994. It also tied a franchise record for quickest goal in a period in franchise history.

Interestingly enough, it came while they were wearing another franchise's sweaters.

On a related note: Oof, Red Wings defense!
