The Chicago Blackhawks simply toyed with the Dallas Stars on Saturday night in Big D. It was never more evident than Patrick Kane's absurd spin-o-rama backhander goal.

By the time Kane scored this goal, the game was well out of hand, so really the goal was of no consequence. But that would be such a dishonor to this goal to say as much.

The impressive part isn't really the spin-o-rama. That's pretty, but it didn't do a ton for Kane other than get the puck on his backhand. It was what he did from there that was mind-blowing.

Look at that shot. It's roofed into the top corner, and he never even looked. That little wry smile after says one one two things: Either he was a little surprised it went in, or he was slightly embarrassed by how good he and the Blackhawks are. I mean, it's kind of tough to go all-out and celebrate a goal when you're winning 8-1.

But holy heck, that might be the goal of the year when it's all said and done. It will certainly be a key highlight when it comes time for the Hart Trophy to be awarded and Kane's candidacy is considered.

Honestly, Kane didn't really see it since he wasn't looking at the cage when he shot. Soon enough he'll get to marvel at how nasty it was.

After all, at this point Kane can do almost anything he wants. It was his 15th goal this season, and with three points he is the sole points leader in the West with 34, moving into the top five in the NHL.

Oh, and so much for those Blackhawks struggles. You can't get a more emphatic win than 8-1 in somebody else's barn.
