The NHL Daily Fix is your morning wakeup call, with news and notes for the day's hockey action.
• Martin Brodeur was credited with this third career goal (if you include playoffs) on Thursday night, and we all seemed to enjoy that. So a quick YouTube search turned up the video above featuring even more goalie goals, including Ron Hextall's, Brodeur's previous goals, and Evgeni Nabokov's.
"Yeah, I wanted more," Myers told the Buffalo News. "It's something that had to be addressed. It has been addressed. But you know, I won't be making that mistake again." [Buffalo News]
• Larry Murphy was fired by Fox Sports Detroit as a studio analyst because ratings are low. Not sure that's his fault. Every Red Wings game I've ever watched on Fox Sports Detroit I've found him to be a joy to listen to and watch. [Mlive]
Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford added that “Shots keep getting harder, but for some reason, goalie equipment has to go down. Whatever. Whatever they do, just try to adjust to it." [Chicago Sun-Times]
