The NHL Daily Fix is your morning wakeup call, with news and notes for the day's hockey action.

Morning buzz

In non-Jarome Iginla news, watch Corey Perry of the Ducks throw a punch on Dan Boyle while backchecking on what turned out to be a Tommy Wingels short-handed goal. Dirty.

Boyle soon responded by going after Perry and dropping the gloves. He must have really been mad to go after Perry at his size. (YouTube)

Man-games lost is a pretty self-explanatory stat; how many games have been missed per player because of injury? For example, if four players are scratched because of injury in one game, that's four man-games lost. It's a good way to measure a team's health. So which teams are doing best? It should be no surprise to see Minnesota, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, Boston and LA at the bottom as the healthiest team. No wonder they're winning. (Globe & Mail)

That "feud" in Vancouver between the backup goalies remains awfully civil. Roberto Luongo isn't upset that Cory Schneider is getting the starts right now. Not at all.

"He's playing unreal, he's probably the best goalie in the league right now, so obviously you've got to roll with the hot hand and that's totally understandable."

Sergei Bobrovsky might disagree but point taken, he's really hot right now. (Metro News)

An update on the Danny DeKeyser wooing process where the Red Wings are making a final push. A decision is expected very soon for the Western Michigan product. (MLive.com)

Now for some Iginla-related news. A post-trade Q&A with Penguins GM Ray Shero, who said he did see some of the chatter but wasn't worried, he had to do what was best for his team. (Penguins)

Are the Flames finally at the point where they will blow it all up? "I think we're going to be busy," GM Jay Feaster said. "We are not looking to go out and move picks or prospects right now." About time. (@NHLFlames)

Lastly, the Iggy Dance one more time from Calgary but I'll leave out the music.

Now to the schedule, where Iginla is not expected to play for Pittsburgh.

Thursday's schedule

Carolina at Toronto (7 ET)
NY Islanders at Philadelphia (7 ET)
Winnipeg at Pittsburgh (7 ET)
Buffalo at Florida (7:30 ET)

Phoenix at Nashville (8 ET)
Columbus at Edmonton (9:30 ET)
