VIDEO: Robyn Regehr returns to game after taking skate to face

Very scary moment early in the third period of Game 1 of the Los Angeles-St. Louis series as Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr suffered a nasty cut after he was hit in the face by the skate of Blues forward David Backes.

It was an unfortunate accident as Regehr and Backes both fell to the ice during a battle for the puck along the boards.

Here's the play.

Two amazing things about this: 1) That Regehr wasn't injured worse than he was (and that's a good thing). 2) He returned to the game no more than 10 minutes after that.

Playoff hockey is crazy.
