Canadiens goalie Carey Price was taking a beating in the early going of Game 2 against the Ottawa Senators. Even as a goalie, Price took a fair amount of contact in what had been an extremely physical game. Price really got whacked, though, when his own defenseman's skate connected with Price's mask.

After getting the boot to the face from Jarred Tinordi, Price stayed in his crease until he heard the whistle. Next, the Montreal netminder calmly skated to his team's bench, pulled out his tooth and gently placed it into his athletic trainer's hand. No word if a glass of milk was waiting for the tooth.

Here's the painful GIF.

Price immediately returned to his net, spitting blood through his mask. The Senators ended up scoring shortly after.

This is the second consecutive game in the series in which a goalie has lost a tooth. Senators netminder Craig Anderson got one knocked out in Game 1 after stopping a shot with his mask.

It's not the Stanley Cup Playoffs unless the oral surgeon's office is overbooked.
