The Pittsburgh Penguins were 30 seconds away from taking a 3-0 series lead on the Ottawa Senators and were on the power play. Seems like a perfect recipe for a win.

Then this happened; Daniel Alfredsson, short-handed and all alone for a redirection in front. The game was tied and the Senators regained life.

It must be asked, though: What are the Penguins doing here and how on Earth do you let Alfredsson get that wide open right in front of the goalie with a man advantage? It's not as if the game was at 5-on-5, Senators goalie Craig Anderson had just reached the bench, and his replacement skater was just hitting the blue line when the pass to Alfie was made.

The simple answer: Evgeni Malkin isn't very good in his own zone. And this is what happens when you don't attack, so that too.
