It's been a rough week for the NHL's referees.
After the incident in Detroit on Monday night involving a phantom goalie interference call, they were at the center of attention once again on Tuesday night for all of the wrong reasons (which is usually the case when referees are the point of discussion).
With the Kings trailing the Sharks 2-0 early in the second period, they appeared to get the goal they needed to get themselves back into the game. That is, until a quick whistle negated what would have been their first score of the night.
Have a look.
That's actually really bad, and perhaps even worse than the call that took away a goal from Chicago on Monday.
