Chris Kreider had his share of struggles for the New York Rangers this season but he was the guy who kept their season alive Thursday by scoring the game-winning goal early in overtime for a 4-3 win over the Bruins that sends the series back to Boston for Game 5 on on Saturday.

The Rangers had to come back from deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 on Thursday, and even needed a little bit of luck along the way to get their engines running, but they were able to do just enough to avoid a sweep and keep their season going for at least one more game.

In 23 regular-season games, Kreider scored just two goals for the Rangers and had yet to score one in his first five playoff games. He was a big contributor last postseason when New York went to the Eastern Conference Final. While he hasn't been anywhere near as noticeable this year, he picked a pretty good time to make an impact for the Rangers.
