Every week day, we'll have a top-five list that is pretty self-explanatory, all in this man's opinion. Today: Five potential surprising stars of Game 7 on Tuesday night between the Sharks and Kings. Game 7s seem to always produce one.

No. 5: Dwight King. Known much more for being a grinder, King had a strong postseason last year, showing a penchant for the big spots. Moreover, he found himself playing a lot with Trevor Lewis and Dustin Brown in Game 6, a combo a little more likely to help him produce an unexpected goal.

No. 4: James Sheppard. The Sharks forward only has 12 goals in 256 career games in the NHL and doesn't have a point this postseason, but he saw a pretty robust amount of time on the power play in Game 6 (2:54). A little more of that, and maybe he becomes a Game 7 hero.

No. 3: Trevor Lewis. Outside of the faceoff circle, Lewis had an outstanding showing in Game 6. He was everywhere. Still, he is a player with just one goal in the playoffs, not a guy the Kings expect to get scoring from. But if he plays as well as he did in Game 6, he might get his chances.

No. 2: T.J. Galiardi. It's quite possible he used up his hero magic by scoring the game-winner for the Sharks on Sunday. But considering that was his first-ever playoff goal, it would be a surprise to see another. Either way, his defensive effort should go a long way in what should be a tight contest.

No. 1: Dustin Penner. He hasn't done a whole lot lately to make you think he'll do this, he only played 10:26 in Game 6. With the way that he has been invisible, he'd certainly fit the bill. Plus, he has done it before. Penner constantly gets dogged for his play and then delivers in a big spot. We saw it last year in the Western Conference finals.
