Toews did not play in the third period of Chicago's 3-1 win of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night after the hit. His status for Game 6 on Monday night in Boston is unknown. There was no penalty called on the play.
As is the case with all questionable hits, it was reviewed by the league, but it seems they agree with Boychuk's postgame assessment that it was a legal hit.
Given that we're heading into an elimination game of the Stanley Cup Final, it probably shouldn't be a surprise that the league isn't stepping in, because, well, that's how NHL discipline tends to work.
