You can cross another of the NHL's scheduled arbitration hearings off the list.

Jordan Nolan and the Los Angeles Kings were able to come to terms on a new two-year contract on Saturday, avoiding the arbitration hearing that had been scheduled for Aug. 1.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to CapGeek he's going to count $700,000 against the salary cap the next two years.

Nolan was one of three Kings forwards who remained unsigned as a restricted free agent, joining Trevor Lewis and Kyle Clifford. Earlier this week Kings GM Dean Lombardi said he was still working on all of them and was closest to a new deal with Nolan.

Lewis has an arbitration hearing scheduled for Aug. 2. Clifford did not file for arbitration and remains unsigned, while his name has recently started to surface in trade rumors. The problem Los Angeles might run into when it comes to keep all three of them is the fact that it's currently right up against the NHL's $64.3 million salary cap.

The 24-year-old Nolan scored two goals to go with four assists in 44 games while spending most of his time on a line with Clifford and Colin Fraser.
