Training camps opened up all across the NHL on Wednesday and, well, they've come a long ways. Just check out what training camp used to look like in 1928 with the Maple Leafs (courtesy of the Hockey Hall of Fame).

I don't want to call today's players soft because they're hockey players and no hockey players are soft, but could you imagine the outcries if players were forced to prance around in the mud at camp today? It would be bad.
