Though the big reveal was spoiled by a few leaks over the last few months, Hockey Canada officially unveiled the jerseys for the Canadian men's and women's team jerseys for the 2014 Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi. They are what we thought they were.

Though the presentation in the photo certainly looks better than it does on a rack, or draped on an awkward-looking Jonathan Toews, many of the same problems people have with the other unveiled jerseys persist.

The fake laces are a thing on all the Olympic jerseys, unfortunate as they may be. Canada also has some of those matte graphics on the shoulders. So if you like maple leaves, you probably love these.

Canada is indeed going with a black alternate jersey in addition to the tradition home whites and road reds. There has been plenty of criticism for those, particularly the red armband on the left sleeve, which is curiously (or not so curiously) obscured in this photograph.

Here's a look at the full uniform including some really clunky looking socks.

To be honest, the two traditional jerseys aren't all that bad. Sure it looks like something you'd buy at a Canadian souvenir shop or perhaps it's something the wait staff would wear at a Canadian-themed novelty restaurant, but it certainly could be worse.
