Sergei Fedorov is spending his time these days as the general manager of rick KHL club CSKA Moscow. Problem is, it's not going so well as his team sits tied for seventh in the KHL West and his team has played more games than the teams they're locked up with. Overall they are 5-3-0-7, not where a team with Alexander Radulov is expected to be.

So perhaps that's the driving force behind Fedorov's latest addition to the team: himself. The GM is pulling a Roger Dorn and is unretiring to get back on the ice according to Pavel Lysenkov of SovSport.

That's one way to try and fix the problem on the team you're in charge of, I suppose.

Really, Fedorov hasn't been out of the game long at all so perhaps a practice or two and he will be back to game shape and ready to go. Let's face it, the competition in the KHL isn't as stiff as it was when he was last playing in the NHL so he might not look half bad out there.

Then again, in his last season for Metallurg Magnitogorsk he had six goals and 16 assists in 43 games. Perhaps he won't be that missing piece CSKA Moscow needs. However it might force the other players to pick up their play. Imagine ifyour GM makes you a perfect pass and you flub it? Cut. Don't stand up for your GM when he's hit hard? Cut. Maybe that's the genuis of Fedorov's move.

Fedorov played 1,248 games in the NHL, ending with Washington in 2009.He finished with 483 goals and 696 assists in the NHL, helping the Red Wings win three Stanley Cups.
