Things can get a little crazy over in the KHL. Unlike the tired stereotype that Europeans are soft and won't fight, there are plenty of players in the Russian-based pro league that are willing to play rough-and-tumble hockey.

That was certainly the case in Friday's game between Amur and Lokomotiv.

In the second period of the game, Amur forward Jan Mursak, a former Detroit Red Wings prospect, was leveled by Lokomotiv defenseman Mikhail Pashnin. Mursak's teammate Mikhail Fisenko didn't like the hit and went after Pashnin.

Pashnin didn't last long after some wild punches, Fisenko landed one clean on the Lokomotiv defenseman's chin, dropping him to the ice.

For Pashnin's troubles, he received a five-minute major for fighting in addition to five minutes and a game misconduct for checking to the head and neck area.

Mursak, who is expected to be a big part of Slovania's Olympic team, remaind on the ice for some time after Pashnin's hit. He did not return to the game.

Amur won the game 1-0 in a shootout.
