The big goal for the Canadiens over the offseason was to get tougher. They did but the problem is those guys can't stay healthy.
That list of injured guys now includes the holdover tough guy, Brandon Prust. The gritty forward with tons of jam, as his former coach in New York would say, is going to miss four weeks after suffering a right-shoulder injury against Nashville on Saturday. The team announced the injury on Monday.
Prust had played in all eight games this season for the Habs, picking up two goals and an assist thus far. Last season he had five goals and nine assists in 38 games playing mostly with rookies Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk.
He joins physical players George Parros and Douglas Murray on the sidelines with injuries in the young season, though it hasn't hurt the Habs all that much as they are off to a 5-3-0 start.
