Stars goaltending prospect Jack Campbell is an American through and through. The Port Huron, Michigan native led the US to gold at the U18 championships in 2009 and 2010 and also led the US to gold at the World Juniors in 2010 and bronze in 2011.

In other words, the stars and stripes run through his vein, his American pride too strong to hide. Like any good goalie, he lets this show with his masks.

Campbell, who made his NHL debut for the Stars earlier this season in Anaheim (a 6-3 loss), had a mask made for his appearances with the Texas Stars, Dallas' AHL franchise. That mask has an unmistakeable American feel to it, featuring Navy SEALs and the USA Hockey logo among other features.

But that mask is for games with the Texas Stars, not the Dallas Stars. Considering he has made his debut, it was time to get a mask for his appearances in Dallas and it too keeps that patriotic feeling with images of John F. Kennedy on one side, artist Dave Gunnarsson fitting them in with the new Stars logo and their new green color scheme.

While we're not suggesting the Stars trade a good goaltending prospect or anything of that sort, but perhaps some day Campbell's career can take him to Washington and the Caps. It would only be right for such a patriot.
