November 11 marks Veterans Day in the United States and for the fine folks of Canada it's Remembrance Day. Each day for the two weeks prior to Remembrance Day, you'll see a lot of poppies on lapels, NHL coaches included. It's in honor of Remembrance Day.

The OHL's Petersborough Petes are going to take the chance to honor the soldiers who sacrified their lives in battle not only by putting a poppy on their jersey on Thursday night but by having an entirely new and special jersey just for the Remembrance Day ceremonies.

That's a sharp-looking sweater from the inclusion of the poppy in the middle of the logo to the silhoutte images of soldiers at the bottom of the jersey. Excellent touch. In addition to that, the sweater also features a crest for the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment.

At the end of the game the jerseys will go up for bid in a silent auction online that will conclude on Nov. 17. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment.

There are a lot of unique jerseys that we see all across hockey but undoubtedly these are some of the very best.
