Phil Kessel is fast. With the Toronto Maple Leafs and New Jersey Devils deadlocked in the third period, the Maple Leafs sniper took a pass from Cody Franson, wheeled around his own zone and turned on the jets.
Kessel streaked down the left side, cut through the gap in the defense and a couple of stick checks before putting the puck through Cory Schneider's legs. On top of all that, Kessel drew a penalty on Marek Zidlicky for hooking.
Can you imagine Kessel with that speed on an Olympic ice sheet? Look out, world.
It was Kessel's eighth goal in seven games and his 10th of the season. Yeah, he's good.
Here's how it looked from the seats.
