Corey Perry has been scoring like a mad man lately and he's been doing so by really using his head. Or at least that was the case on Sunday against the Canucks.
With the Ducks getting a cycle set up in the offensive zone, a shot from Francois Beauchemin deflected off a defenseman and ran high, hitting Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo near the shoulder. From there the puck ricocheted into the air and toward a waiting Perry who then headed the puck into the crease and finished it off with his stick.
It wasn't a true header because he had to finish the goal in a more conventional fashion but it was close enough that we'll count it because unless it's Henrik Lundqvist being his aggressive self, we don't see a ton of headers in hockey. At least on purpose.
