VIDEO: Evgeni Malkin ends month-long goal drought

With each passing game, the questions grew louder about Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin's goal drought that lasted 15 games dating back to Oct. 17. Those should quiet down after Malkin scored against the New York Islanders Friday night.

After making a nice move through the defense, Malkin gave a perfect pass to James Neal , who was pretty much by himself in front of Kevin Poulin. However, instead of trying to put a shot through the Isles goalie, Neal passed the puck to Malkin who had no choice but to shoot.

For weeks it had looked like Malkin was passing up some golden opportunities by distributing the puck to a teammate instead of trying to bury the shot himself. This time it was Neal being extra generous.

The goal was Malkin's fourth this year. He added an assist in the game at that point and has 21 points in 23 games.
