For the last two games, the Predators have been on the ice without not only their top defensemen and captain but one of the top defensemen in the entire league in Shea Weber. He has been watching the games from the sidelines after taking a puck to the face just above his eye.
Well on Thursday the Predators had some good news to share; Weber is about returning to practice. When he does, he'll have some extra equipment on hand, equipment that if he originally was wearing would have likely prevented the injury in the first place.

It's a safe bet that when Weber is back playing in games, he'll have the visor on, at least for a short while. Maybe he'll get used to it and keep it or perhaps he'll ditch it as soon as he can.
Right now that doesn't matter for the Preds, all that matters is getting Weber back.
Weber is more than just the Predators' best defenseman and captain, he's also their top goal scorer. Really. His seven goals lead the team and he has been a minutes monster with more than 26 minutes per game. He's as critical to the team's success as any player on the roster. It's probably not a coincidence that the Predators have just one point from the last three games.
