Brad Marchand is one of the better agitators in the game today but lately it seems he has only gotten under his own team's skin.

Marchand has seen his production go down this season as he has just five goals and nine assists in 34 games this season, both well below career-average pace. One thing that hasn't left Marchand's game, though, is his fiery attitude and agitation skills, something that was on display in in Vancouver when the Bruins were being smashed by the Canucks.

The Bruins weren't pleased about Marchand's showboating and let him and the public know. What followed were headlines out of Boston about the Bruins running out of patience with Marchand and the like, which can inevitably start to lead to suggestions of a possible trade. This is rumors get started.

General Manager Peter Chiarelli isn't letting that rumor go very far. On Thursday he filled in for coach Claude Julien for the morning media meeting given the coach is under the weather and Chiarelli addressed any speculation around Marchand. Definitively.

That message is more than clear, it's loud as well. Marchand and the Bruins might have some things to work on, obviously that won't happen if Marchand is no longer a member of the Bruins.
