The injury-plagued Pittsburgh Penguins got more bad news Friday as it was revealed forward Pascal Dupuis will be having surgery on his ACL. With two weeks to go before going under the knife, Dupuis may miss the remainder of the season.

Dupuis was injured early in Monday's contest against the Ottawa Senators when Marc Methot hip-checked Sidney Crosby into Dupuis.

For the Penguins, it's a big loss for the team's scoring depth and an effective linemate for Crosby. Dupuis has 20 points in 39 games this season and has been a solid veteran for the team over the last seven seasons. Dupuis has averaged nearly 18 minutes of ice time per game as well.

Also, at 34 years old, you have to wonder how much a significant injury like this one will impact Dupuis' career. He is a veteran of 837 games and has posted 394 points in the NHL.
