Technology continues to change the way hockey fans watch the sport, each advancement helping improve the viewer experience. HD television has really helped on that side of things and in the arenas things like instant replays and growing video screens have improved the already great experience of being at a hockey game.

It's about to get a whole lot better.

The Washington Capitals will soon be launching Skybox Google Glass for their home games. Perhaps the best way I can think of to describe it is that it makes you into a hockey robot, seeing things in your field of vision like graphics, replays and the like as if you were RoboCop. Basically, it's an incredible twist on the viewing experience.

The Capitals are the first pro team to add Google Glass to their games, a pretty awesome development to be at the fore of.
