The game between the Dallas Stars and Columbus Blue Jackets that was halted when Rich Peverley collapsed on the Dallas bench has been rescheduled for April 9 in Dallas at 7:30 local time.

When Peverley fell on the bench and was quickly rushed off the ice, the game naturally came to a pause. It didn't take long for the game to officially be postponed, to be made up at a later date.

When the game resumes the teams will start over in terms of the time of the game, meaning they will play a full 60 minutes. However, the Blue Jackets will begin the game with a 1-0 lead with a goal credited to Nathan Horton from Matt Calvert and James Wisniewski. That is the only thing that will carry over from the first game, though; all other stats will start fresh.

For the Stars the game will squeeze into the final week of their season in between home games vs. the Predators on the April 8 and the Blues on April 11. It will result in the Stars playing four games in five days after a back-to-back visit to the Florida teams on April 5 and 6.

As for the Blue Jackets it means they will end the season with a three-game road trip. They play host to the Coyotes on April 8 before heading for the Florida double to finish their season on April 11 and 12.

Clearly the game is going to be pivotal for both teams as the Jackets and Stars are both in the thick of tight playoff races at this point.
