Jason Fuchs of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League lost part of a finger on Saturday when blocking a shot.

(Don't worry, the video above isn't very graphic, you thankfully can't see much detail.)

Fuchs was in the shooting lane -- not even making a real attempt to block the puck -- when the shot from the point hit him square in the hand. Fuchs ripped off his glove, noticed something was immediately wrong and went right for the bench. He was immediately taken off the ice with his finger being treated.

"He shouted. No one knew what to do," Rouyn-Noranda coach Gilles Bouchard said to TVA Sports after the game. "We were looking for pieces of his finger."

Fortunately they did find them in his glove and when Fuchs was rushed to the hospital they were able to stitch the finger up.

Still, that's rather revolting.

The good news is the Swiss prospect should be OK he's of course going to miss a while and considering it's the postseason in the QMJHL, his season is very likely over.
