Goalie masks are always something personal for goalies. They have a big say in how they are designed and put personal touches to make it a part of them.

For one game, at least, Pekka Rinne is deviating from that traditional approach. Earlier this season the Predators had a contest to design a mask for Rinne that he would wear in a game and then afterward the designer would take home said mask. Rinne chose the finalists and then fans did the rest of the work on deciding on the mask. It's now ready to go.

The winning design from Scott Sulfridge was painted onto a mask by artist Dave Gunnarsson. The focal point is a country guitar that stretches from one side of the mask to the other. Atop the guitar on one side is the skyline of Nashville while wrappong the jawline all the way around is a keyboard because remember, Nashville is music city.

On the back there is, what else, an image of a guitar. Meanwhile the base color is Predators yellow and there are some Preds touches thrown in too including one logo on the chin and their twist on their city name Smashville.

You can also see the original design from Sulfridge in the photo of the mask.
