Since he returned to the Florida Panthers, Roberto Luongo has been using his old Pink Panther mask from his first run as a Panther in the mid-2000's. It just happened to still be in the closet of his South Florida home he maintained so he decided he would use it.
Well say goodbye to the Pink Panther because Luongo has himself a new mask for his new start in Florida.
There certainly is no mistaking which team he's going to play for with that mix of red, blue and yellow or the big sun on the left side. And of course the Panther face on the left, that's kind of a dead giveaway too.
With just three games left this season, he won't get much of a chance to break it in.
It's definitely not the most creative mask we've ever seen but if we're honest, for as big of a personality as Luongo is, his masks are usually relatively mellow and straight forward. He did have a special Movember mask this season in Vancouver but otherwise his designs aren't all that extravagent.
What it is though is very red, which fits right in with the Panthers' direction in uniforms for a couple of years now, a little different than when Luongo had that Pink Panther mask made.
