When the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens meet in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it's almost like an added bonus. You take a historic rivalry involving two Original Six teams and some of the best players in the game today and give them a seven-game series to throw everything at each other and it provides great theater.

This matchup also means we get one of those great opening montages from Hockey Night in Canada's Tim Thompson.

Weaving images of the many great moments (and a lot of the bloody ones, too) in this rivalry with those of today makes for another home run video to get fans – whether they're fans of the two teams or not – excited about the series ahead.

Set to “I Feel You” by the Sam Roberts Band, Thompson's montage is a three-minute trip through one of the great rivalries in all of North American professional sports. It also serves as a great reminder of just how many of the game's great stars played in this series and helped make it what it is today.

With changes coming to HNIC next year due to the NHL's rights agreement with Rogers in Canada, one can only hope Thompson's role remains completely untouched. These montages are an important part of the entertainment value Hockey Night in Canada brings its viewers and Canada, and it gives those of us in the United States something to look forward to on YouTube.

This is another great one and a worthy preview of what is sure to be a great series.
