Patrick Kane has done it again.
Kane, who has made a bit of a habit of scoring playoff overtime winners in Chicago, was at the right place at the right time on Tuesday night. He just has a knack for these kinds of plays at this point it seems.
Chicago dumped the puck into the zone and went in on the forecheck. When the puck reached the end boards, it took a funny hop and shot right out into the slot. Peter Regin and Ryan Suter were tied up so neither was able to play the puck, skating right on by. In came Kane who picked up the puck and then deked right around Ilya Bryzgalov and finished with the backhand top shelf.
Game Over. Series Over. Showtime indeed.
With Kane's goal clinching the series in six games, the Blackhawks will now wait to see if they will face either the Kings or Ducks in the Western Conference final, their second straight season getting this far.
