First and foremost amid Dorsett's miseries was the fact taht the Rangers didn't look very good in dropping Game 5 by a final score of 7-4 to the Canadiens. But during the game even before he was not looking too good in a different way.
The Canadiens have quite the pregame show at Bell Centre and part of it includes something that a lot of teams have, young kids greeting the players as they come onto the ice with their flags. Well one of these kids for the Canadiens got a snow shower courtest of Dorsett.
Take a look (GIF via @MTLDrivefor25):
Well good on Mats Zuccarello for helping the kid up after the snow clearly threw him off his game. We have no idea if Dorsett did that on purpose or not, or perhaps it was intended for a Habs player, but either way the result was the kid catching a face full of snow and falling to the ice.
That wasn't the end of Dorsett's "transgressions" in the game. When it was starting to get out of hand for the Rangers in the final minutes, Dorsett was parked in front of the Canadiens net, battling for space. It's how he battled that will raise a few eyebrows.
Weaver was asked about it after the game and, well, he doesn't seem to think too highly of Dorsett.
"That's the type of player he is, a guy who runs around with his head cut off," Weaver said. "It's not needed. He's trying to get something going for the next game."
To top it all off, Dorsett lost his cool as the final seconds ticked away, getting after Rene Bourque in a furious little shoving match.
Let's just say Dorsett likely won't be up for the Lady Byng any time soon.
