Whenever the Los Angeles Kings have needed a lift in this postseason, it has seemed like more often than not Jeff Carter has been there to give them just that, including Game 7 of the Western Conference finals.

The Blackhawks jumped out to a quick two-goal lead but as we've learned all postseason long, you can't count out any team in the playoffs, so the Kings began putting serious pressure on the Blackhawks trying to get back in it. Thanks to Carter's hand-eye coordination, they did.

On a Kings rush, Corey Crawford made the initial save but Carter was crashing the net hard and when the puck popped up Carter, in mid-skate, batted the puck down and in.

How close was it to a high stick? Incredibly close. The goal was reviewed but eventually it stood. It was the type of play that you imagine would have stood with the call on the ice either way.
