Nobody has meant as much to hockey in California as Wayne Gretzky and really it's not even close. So it's only fitting that to kick off the Stanley Cup Final in LA on Wednesday night, the Great One was not only on hand but dropped the ceremonial first puck.

It has a little extra significance given that Gretzky did play for the Rangers as well but he is tied with LA a heck of a lot more than New York, especially given that he's spent his career after playing mostly in Southern California as well.

Not many better people to start the Final than Gretzky.
