The New York Rangers can turn up the ice rather quickly. Speed and quickness in transition is a major strength of this team and they looked as strong as ever when they turned the puck up ice on a second-period power play.

After Brad Richards retrieved the puck in the Rangers' zone, he sent it to Ryan McDonagh on the halfwall. With one quick look up, McDonagh sent a long pass to Chris Kreider at the Kings blue line. He dished it to a hard-charging Derek Stepan, who brought the puck over the line and skated in on a two-on-one with Martin St. Louis.

Stepan dished it over to St. Louis, who took an incredible shot over Jonathan Quick who could only hope to get a piece of the puck. He did not and the Rangers had a 3-1 lead off of their first power-play goal of the series.

That was just a clinical rush by the Rangers, showing off one of the more dangerous aspects of their game. In what amounts to a must-win game for New York, that's the kind of thing they need more of to keep the Kings on their heels.
