Justin Williams of the Los Angeles Kings is your 2014 Conn Smythe Trophy winner as the NHL's postseason MVP.

The Kings forward continued his penchant for scoring big goals all postseason long. Mr. Game 7 as he is known was just a monster in the final games of every series and then in the Stanley Cup Final as well. He finished the Final with seven points in five games against the Rangers, far and away the most on the Kings.

In total the 32-year-old Williams finished with nine goals and 16 assists in 26 postseason games, putting him one point behind teammate Anze Kopitar for the most in the postseason.

"To get that award and to get the ovation that I got from my teammates was pretty special and emotional for me," Williams said. "I can't believe I won that. That will, I don't think, ever, ever sink in."

It was not an easy call for the Kings' Conn Smythe winner as Williams just narrowly edged out Drew Doughty, who was particularly great in the rounds leading up to the Final. But Williams' big goals in the big games were a major statement; he had five goals and seven assists in Games 5-7 alone in these playoffs. When the Kings needed a score it just felt like it was Williams who gave it to them.

Williams joins Jonathan Quick as Kings players who have taken home the Conn Smythe. His goaltender took it home two years ago with one of the best goaltending performances the Stanley Cup playoffs had ever seen.
