For a lot of fans, the home broadcast duo is as much a part of the team as much as the players on the ice. They bring the fans along for every game throughout the year and therefore are the voices they are most used to. Los Angeles Kings fans have the luxury of one of the best play-by-play men in the business in Bob Miller and fans just love former King and color analyst Jim Fox, who is as much a fan as anyone else.

When the game are broadcast on national TV, as the Stanley Cup Playoffs were from the second round on, the local duo doesn't get to call the game as they give way to the national booths. While that's the way it should be, it does rob the hometown fans of the voices they've come to know and love calling a pivotal moment in franchise history.

Well, worry not, Kings fans. Miller and Fox did indeed call Alec Martinez's game-winning goal. I'm not sure if they recorded it later or recording as it happened, but Fox sure made his excitement sound genuine either way.

“YES! YES! YES,” he screams in the background as Miller provides his traditional professional description of what is happening.

They really are a fun duo if you get the chance to hear them throughout the year and it's hard not to think of Miller's voice gracing the game action in each of the first two Mighty Ducks movies.

It's great that fans can remember this great moment with the voices they are most familiar with.
