The National Hockey League will release the full 2014-15 schedule on Sunday, but did announce each of the home openers for its teams on Saturday. Here's the complete list of home openers to plan your October accordingly.

Nashville Predators: Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. Ottawa
New Jersey Devils: Saturday, Oct. 18 vs. San Jose
New York Islanders: Saturday, Oct. 11 vs. Carolina
New York Rangers: Sunday, Oct. 12 vs. Toronto
Ottawa Senators: Thursday, Oct. 16 vs. Colorado

St. Louis Blues: Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. NY Rangers
Tampa Bay Lightning: Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. Florida
Toronto Maple Leafs: Wednesday, Oct. 8 vs. Montreal
Vancouver Canucks: Saturday, Oct. 11 vs. Edmonton
Washington Capitals: Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. Montreal
Winnipeg Jets: Friday, Oct. 17 vs. Nashville

Of note, the Los Angeles Kings will be hosting the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday, Oct. 8, the first day of the NHL season. They will be raising their Stanley Cup banner with the team that they started their dramatic postseason run against. That's a little salt in the wound there (though I'm guessing the Sharks won't be on the ice to watch this ceremony… unless they were and oh that's just terrible)

There will be four games on the NHL's opening night on Oct. 8, including the Kings hosting the Sharks, the Bruins welcoming the Flyers, the Flames playing host to the Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs taking on the Canadiens at Air Canada Centre.

The last team to play on home ice is the New Jersey Devils, who will be welcoming the San Jose Sharks to Prudential Center on Oct. 18.

Other home openers of interest:

The newly-branded Arizona Coyotes -- they're changing from Phoenix starting at the NHL Draft -- will host the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 9. Of course, the Coyotes were the first iteration of the Jets before moving to the desert in 1996.

The Red Wings will host the team that eliminated them from the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs as the Bruins come to town on Oct. 9.

The Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche will play in each other's home openers, with the Wild hosting the Avs on Oct. 9, before heading to Denver two days later. You may recall the exciting seven-game series between these two clubs which the Wild won in dramatic fashion in the opening round of the playoffs. There may be a little heat in that early-season home-and-home especially after Matt Cooke's knee-on-knee hit that knocked out Colorado defenseman Tyson Barrie. Cooke was suspended, but his time has already been served.

The Canadiens will also welcome the Bruins for a playoff rematch, though it will be Boston looking to exact some revenge. You may recall a certain handshake line exchange between Milan Lucic and some Canadiens players... something about wanting to do something to Dale Weise "next year..." That won't be until Oct. 16 though.
