"We made him look good," Jokinen said.
Lundqvist, starting in place of the injured Kevin Weekes, made 23 saves Monday night for his first NHL shutout, and Jaromir Jagr scored twice on two-man power plays in the Rangers' 4-0 victory over the Panthers.
"He's a proven goalie in Europe, but we played 50 minutes of hockey and had 13 shots," Jokinen said. "We can't give him credit. He's probably happy he got his first shutout in the NHL, but we made him look good. We really didn't test that guy."
With Weekes sidelined by a groin injury, Lundqvist has won three straight games after opening his NHL career with an overtime loss to New Jersey.
The 23-year-old Swede was rarely tested against the Panthers, easily controlled his rebounds and got plenty of help from his defensemen.
"I've been close before, so it felt good to get this one," Lundqvist said. "We played well the whole game. The guys played really well in front of me and that allowed me to focus on my game. The whole team is confident. We're having a lot of fun."
Petr Prucha added his first NHL goal and fellow rookie Fedor Tyutin also scored to help the Atlantic Division-leading Rangers tie Ottawa for the top spot in the Eastern Conference with 10 points. New York has earned points in all but one of its seven games this season, going 4-1-2 overall and 3-0-1 at home.
Jagr scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season -- all on the power play -- on nearly identical plays late in the second period
The Czech star gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead with 5:30 left in the period, beating Roberto Luongo with a one-timer from the high slot with Jokinen and former Rangers defenseman Alexander Karpovtsev serving penalties. Fifteen seconds after the Panthers' Branislav Mezei was sent off for tripping to set up a second two-man advantage, Jagr fired another one-timer past Luongo from the high slot.
"If you let their best players take one-timers from the slot, they're going to go in," said Luongo, replaced by Jamie McLennan at the start of the third period after facing 38 shots. "Five-on-three is a tough situation for everybody."
Martin Straka set up both goals.
"I've been playing with Marty for a long time," Jagr said. "He knows where I'm going to be and I know where to look for him."
The Rangers made it 4-0 with 1:33 left in the second period on Prucha's first NHL goal. The 23-year-old Czech right wing, playing his fourth career game, beat Luongo from close range after keeping the puck on a 2-and-1 break.
New York outshot Florida 17-8 in the first 20 minutes, had a 38-12 edge after two periods and finished with a 49-23 advantage.
"We had a good transition game and passed the puck up quickly," Rangers coach Tom Renney said. "We got the puck behind people and deep. The best way to beat the trap is not let it set up."
Tyutin opened the scoring on a power play with a minute left in the first period, the seventh time in seven games this season the Rangers have scored first. Tyutin beat Luongo off a rebound from the slot for the 22-year-old Russian defenseman's first goal of the season and third in 38 career games.
"We scored three power-play goals and did a good job killing penalties," Rangers center Steve Rucchin said. "Our defense did a great job. They allowed us to get the puck going the other way."
