The 2016 Stanley Cup Final is set, and it is probably not the matchup you predicted at the start of the 2015-16 regular season as the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the San Jose Sharks.

The Penguins, winners of the Eastern Conference after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning in a thrilling Game 7, will be playing in their third Stanley Cup Final in the Sidney Crosby-Evgeni Malkin era and will be trying to win the fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history (joining the 1991, 1992 and 2009 teams). The Sharks, meanwhile, are playing in their first ever Stanley Cup Final since entering the league in 1991.

The Penguins, owners of the better record during the regular season, will have home ice advantage in the series and host Games 1 and 2 as well as Games 5 and 7 if they are necessary. The Sharks will host Games 3 and 4, and if necessary, Game 6.

The two teams met twice in the regular season with each team winning once.

Here is the complete schedule for the series which will begin on Monday, May 30, in Pittsburgh.
