Both of the Stanley Cup Final contenders were among the top 10 NHL teams searched across Amazon's Alexa cloud service in 2016-17, according to Lindsay Littlejohn of The OutCast Agency.

In case Echo commercials had not already informed you, Alexa is Amazon's voice service and personal assistant, designed to call up music, news, weather and any other requests -- including, apparently, hockey inquiries.

And both the Pittsburgh Penguins (No. 2) and Nashville Predators (No. 9) cracked the list of the 10 most-searched franchises of this season, per Littlejohn. The New York Rangers, ousted by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the postseason, came in No. 1, whereas the Pens and Preds also had representation in the rundown of the most-searched NHL players.

Mike Fisher (No. 3) is aiming to be back on the ice for Nashville in the Final, while Sidney Crosby (No. 8) headlines Pittsburgh's offense.

The entire top-10 lists of most asked-about teams and players, compiled from data across Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and other Alexa services and provided by Littlejohn, are as follows:
