Brandon Bollig to have hearing with NHL over boarding hit in Game 4
Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig is facing a potential suspension with his hearing for boarding Keith Ballard on Friday night.
The Chicago Blackhawks have been shuffling their cards like a Vegas dealer the last couple of games against Minnesota trying to find a spark. They might need to do it out of necessity in Game 5.
Chicago's Brandon Bollig will have a hearing today for boarding/checking from behind on Minnesota's Keith Ballard.— NHL Player Safety (@NHLPlayerSafety) May 10, 2014
Bollig was called for boarding Ballard, a bad hit from behind into the corner boards. It wasn't a tough call for the officials on the ice and it shouldn't be that tough for the officials in the NHL offices either.
Bollig has played in nine games this postseason but doesn't play much, averaging just 6:09 per game. He is pointless in those nine games and is minus-3.
