GIF: Jonathan Quick robs Patrick Marleau with glove save on line
Jonathan Quick made a save at the last second, snagging a Patrick Marleau shot out of the air right before the puck crossed the line.
That leads us to this save Quick made on a Sharks power play midway through the second period. Straight. Robbery.
Patrick Marleau had to think he had a goal with the cage mostly open and an uncontested shot from the doorstep but Quick showed off his patented flexibility and excellent glove hand to stone Marleau and keep the game 1-1.
Here's the save (via @PeteBlackburn).
And because it was so good, here it is again from up above (via @MyRegularFace).
It was awfully close to being a goal as it looked like Quick might have snagged the puck after it already crossed the goal line but after review it was shown that it indeed stayed out, giving Quick one of the saves of the playoffs, especially given the circumstances.
