Ice from Blackhawks' 2013 Cup season can be yours for $99
The Chicago Blackhawks are selling vials of ice water melted from the United Center ice used in the 2013 Cup season. All it will cost you is $99.
Considering you can't get the actual Stanley Cup to commemorate the Chicago Blackhawks' latest championship, perhaps some ice water will do the trick.
The Blackhawks announced in the summer aftermath of their 2013 championship that the ice from United Center was going to be melted down and then sold to fans wishing to get a piece of the tremendous season. The initiative was called Own the Ice and the Hawks promised more details down the line.
That time has come.
Yes, Blackhawks fan, you can now get a vial of melted ice from the Madhouse for your very own. All it will cost you is $99 plus shipping costs. The water also comes with a display box, a letter of authenticity and a product number as the amount of vials is limited ... to just 2,013.
So you can have some water in a bottle for $100 and it is available by Christmas for that Blackhawks fan on your shopping list. As silly as the idea might sound, at least all proceeds will go to Chicago Blackhawks Charities. I have little doubt they will have a tough time getting rid of their supply.
