Morning buzz

• Wild forward Devin Setoguchi has a meeting on Tuesday morning with the NHL over the above hit on Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey. Forearms to the head are not good, Devin. (Minneapolis Star-Tribune)

• That's not all that Brendan Shanahan will be dealing with. Calgary's Mark Giordano reportedly has a hearing for a slew foot. (TSN) See it on YouTube. (YouTube)

• Speaking of the Red Wings, coach Mike Babcock is showing a little sense of urgency with just a three-game slide, saying his team is taking on water. (MLive.com)

• The draft-lottery proposal from last summer that allowed for every team to have a chance at the first pick will go into effect this summer. But the odds won't be altered, at least for this lottery. (TSN)

• Former LA Lakers owner Jerry Buss died Monday at age 80. Many don't know he also owned the Kings for a while. Bob Miller, the Kings' longtime play-by-play man, talked about the Buss era in team history. (LA Kings Insider)

• John Tortorella can't pronounce his newest player's name. (NY Rangers Blog)

• A scrum broke out at the end of regulation on Monday between the Senators and Devils, leading to misconducts (thus ending the game) for David Clarkson and Chris Neil. It also resulted in a two-minute penalty to Patrik Elias, giving the Sens a power play. But you can see why Elias was so upset; it probably doesn't feel too good to get speared in the junk. • Carey Price is so good, he's even making saves while he's sitting on the bench.
